Dudley Museum
What’s there? Lots of fossils & dinosaur exhibits including Family Fun sessions during school holidays.

Wrens Nest Nature Reserve
What’s there? Walk around the reserve & find your own fossils & wildlife. “Join one of the wardens on a guided walk around the Nature Reserve for a ‘Hunt the Dudley Bug’ walk. Learn how Dudley used to be under a tropical sea, find your own fossils to take home, and maybe you will find your very own Dudley Bug.”

Priory Ruins
What’s there? Walk around St James’s Priory which is over 900 years old. The ruins are Grade I listed. You can still see the boundaries of the various different quarters of the monks, a spiral staircase and some medieval tiles. Much of the park area would have been fish ponds for the monks.

Saltwells Nature Reserve
What’s there? Try the self-guided trails in one of the largest UK urban nature reserves…. on your doorstep! Planted in the 18th century by Lady Dudley to hide the scars of coal mining, Saltwells Local Nature Reserve is now one of the UK’s largest urban nature reserves, covering 247 acres.
Where is it? Dudley, West Midlands DY5 1AX
