Are you on a standard variable tariff (SVT) or prepayment meter for your gas & electric?
If the answer is yes, then from April, you will see a hike in your energy bill.
Although the energy regulator Ofgem limits the price a supplier can charge you per unit of gas or electric (the energy price cap)… they do not limit you from using as much gas or electric you want!
The energy price cap is set to increase from 1st April and will cause the average energy bill to rise by nearly £100. In fact Martin Lewis of MoneySavingExpert calculates the average household could save a massive £200 by switching to another energy supplier.
You could consider switching suppliers to save £££’s, especially if you have been with the same one for ages.
